Craftswomen at school

Tintsaba Literacy and Numeracy Programme, Phase II

This literacy project has its roots in the project Literacy training for Artist-Blacksmiths. Due to the positive evaluation the project shall be supported for another one and a half years. The main challenges of the project are the drop-out numbers regarding lerners and presenters equally. This challange shall be addressed in this phase by adapting the syllabus.
Sahee believes that by supporting this project an important contribution can be made to increase the women's standard of education, and subsequently their income, as well as their ability to support their family (for example by being able to help their children with homework) and hence, invests in the long term development of communities.
