Act(ion) against gender based violence and child abuse

Fighting gender based violence and reducing teenage pregnancy

sahee has extended the project The Children's Protection and Welfare Act 2012: weapon against child abuse combat Gender Based Violence (GBV), in order to align it to NATICC's five year plan, to strengthen impact and make it measurable.
In addition to the Children's Protection and Welfare Act (CPWA) 2012, since August 2018 the Sexual Offense and Domestic Violence (SODV) Act has provided an effective legal instrument to combat GBV, teenage pregnancy and child abuse.
Since 2019, the focus has therefore also been on raising awareness of the SODV Act among the communities. A measurable effect of this is the increased demand for legal advice, court cases and information visits to further communities.
Besides this additional component of the SODV, the aim and objectives have remained the same as in the former project The Children's Protection and Welfare Act 2012: weapon against child abuse.

Project costs and assistance by sahee

The entire project costs are CHF 700’000.–, whereas sahee takes over CHF 118’000.–.

sahee stays in regular contact with the project leaders, monitors the activities and visits the project on site once a year.
